Hacer un recorrido histórico sobre los personajes y filósofos pensadores a. C. o d. C. es objeto de otro curso. Este curso se limitará a estudiar y reflexionar sobre el origen de nuestra era y la lectura para hoy.

Este ensayo no tiene como objeto explicar lo que ya es bien entendido por los economistas profesionales, estudiosos del comercio internacional. Está dirigido al lector en general, al político, al empresario y a las personas involucradas o interesadas en el derecho de propiedad y en el comercio.
En él se explica el fundamento del intercambio -o sea, la ley económica conocida como Ley de los Costos Comparados- y se penetra en otras cuestiones económicas importantes que tienen sutiles implicaciones en la política social, fiscal y económica, y no son triviales.
Teoría General del Intercambio
Como se verá, esta "ley" podría denominarse con más propiedad Teoría General del Intercambio, como la llamó el profesor Pascal Salin; o también Ley de Asociación, como fue llamada por Ludwig von Mises*.
Muchos libros de texto de economía dejan la explicación de la Teoría General del Intercambio casi exclusivamente a los capítulos que tratan sobre el comercio internacional, en el supuesto de que los estudiantes ya han entendido los principios básicos del intercambio, supuesto que pongo en duda.

El Curso de Praxeología se fundamenta en las obras del economista y filósofo austriaco Dr. Ludwig von Mises. Se fundamenta, principalmente, en su obra Praxeología, un tratado de economía. En esa obra Mises crea una novedosa ciencia, cuyo objeto es la acción humana, denominada precisamente praxeología. Esta ciencia no es, por ejemplo, psicología, ética o antropología.
El curso ha sido dividido en tres partes: primera, praxeología general; segunda, praxeología económica; tercera, praxeología política y social.
